I recently bought a used system with a GTX 560 Ti in it and no matter what I do it continues to use Microsoft's basic display renderer. I've tried the card in multiple different systems, some with pre installed Nvidia drivers and some with fresh installations of Windows 10. Nvidia Geforce Experience doesn't give any errors and claims to have installed the drivers properly only needing a restart to install, but when the system turns back on, it's still not using the drivers. The display is limited to 1280x1024 at 64hz for whatever reason with only 3 other lower resolutions to choose from. I've taken the cooler off of the card to see if there were any physical defects and as far as I can tell, there isn't. I'm starting to believe the card may be broken but it was able to boot and run Overwatch, albeit only in 5 FPS with the lowest possible settings, using the Microsoft display renderer so it seems as if it does work.
